Excercise! People with knee Osteoarthritis can benefit from exercise, in terms of overall pain relief and improved joint function, according to a review of 17 studies conducted by the Cochrane Collaboration. Of the combined total of 1,492 people who participated in the Cochrane Collaboration studies, those doing some form of daily exercise, be it just walking or simple muscle-strengthening exercises, - were better off than the groups who did not. However improved there is a point of diminished returns, the effect of exercise overall on the groups was found to be quite small.
